I know it says Jack on some DVDs and VHS' but it's The Narrator dammit.

Well he's never officially named in the film, so I assume that Jack isn't his proper name :)

Jack was the name that was the person writeing the journals that he was reading that he thought was someone else when you find out he was the actual owner of the house and that at that point you have to assume that if he owns the house that the journals are him so he would then be jack.

if i had to say a real name, it would be Jack. "i am jack's smirking revenge"

Hmm hard choice. Jack is appropriate. He takes on different aspects of Jack throughout the film. However, out of habit I call him The Narrator. But seeing as Fight Club did tear me from my habitual thinking, I will reconsider.

That's his official name as far as I know. Calling him Jack is just assuming that the journals are really his. That's possible, but we don't really know.

Tyler isn't his name, since Tyler is his alter ego's name (and also mine, I even have the same last initial, but that's off topic). If Tyler was his name too he would have made the connection earlier on, and when people called him Tyler it wouldn't have really been a big deal.

I generally think of him as Joe/Jack, even though I realize that it isn't actually his name. It's just easier to say than The Narrator.

Tyler calls him Jack in the car. Plus jack is shorter and more fun than the Narrator

i think i go through all of those names. but i first would say tyler 1 (edward) and tyler 2 (brad). my brother first called him "main face" lol so i like using that too XD.
