Here how celebrity feminist anaylsis works: For every celebrity i bring up, you have to choose weather they inspire or demonstrate elements of feminism or female empowerment, if so you choose "feminist heroine". If you don't think they do, or perhaps even think they perpetuate negative gender stereotypes, pick "feminist villainess". Simple, right? :)

I really do feel like she tries to be a strong female role, but she ends up coming short of it. It's seems like she doesn't have the slightest idea what it is to be a feminist, but she feels doing one video of being at war makes her one....I don't know it's complicated to explain what I'm trying to get at lol.

I think she is a good example of a feminist. Not only does she sing some empowering songs, but she also says a lot of things that show that she cares about women and women's rights.

She's a strong, beautiful, independent woman, and a good feminist role model.

it's hard. her songs prove she wants rights and that she can be very strong but then she goes and dresses like that pic. and makes a complete fool of herself. i think now she's becoming more feminist but i can't really choose

I think most of the singers like her hurt us more than do us any good. They talk about empowerment and respect but they fail to depict it in their videos and performances. No one is going to take what you have to say seriously when you have whip cream coming out of your bikini top or dancing half naked on the stage. Hence no one is going to take women seriously as a whole because of it. It is possible to get a message through with your clothes on and no dessert topping spewing out of your chest.
