Duncan POV*
So it has been 1 năm since TV awards and 1 năm since I last saw Courtney. Sure we talk on the phone and email each other all the time, but it's just not the same.
I'm not in Juvy if that's what you're thinking. I'm living with my parents and trying my best in school...refrase that, I'm not doing my best, just enough for me to pass. DJ and Trent actually go to my school. My new school, we had to di chuyển because Gwen wouldn't STOP staking me.
Seriously, this chick makes Serra look like the most non obessed, easy going girl on the planet. I'm not kidding, Gwen was actually walked into the bathroom while I was in the vòi hoa sen and offered to tham gia me...thank god my ma was home. She totally kicked Gwen's ass.
Turns out, me and Trent have a lot in common, we even formed a band with DJ. We the devils from Heaven, DJ's mama idea and even I can't say no to that woman...she's scary.
I mange to keep in touch with Geoff, Bridgette and Alejandro, who turns out to be a pretty cool guy.
My life isn't prefect, sure I got million dollars from TDA and have a badass rock band and awesome buddies but there is something missing and that's Courtney.
Hearing her voice is like a breath of fresh air and I can't get enough. However, I do anything to see her beautiful, Angel like, breath taking face again. I'm completely and utterly in tình yêu with her but she deserve someone a million times better then me. Someone who will love, protect her and will make her happy. I know I can do those things for her but I screwed up, big time and I ruined my chance at all to be with the one girl I truly love.
Probably wondering why I kissed Gwen right. I be honest, while I was avoiding Chris, I read a few magazines saying I'm whipped and a total pansy, DUNCAN JAMES STONE IS NOT A PANSY! That's probably why I did what I did, my pride and my god damn reputation got in the way of the best thing that ever happened to me and I regret every day.
I just wish I could see Courtney again...

Duncan sighed, he was in the park on the bench. He needed to clear his head and relax. He sighed as a boy and girl walked passed him holding hands and smiling at each other.

We had arrived at my house, and Courtney left with tears in her eyes.
I called on of my best buddys, and waited for him to answer his cellphone.
RING. . .
RING. . .
RING. . .
"Hey it's _____" he finaly answered.
"Hey dude it's Duncan"
"Hey dude, what's up?"
"Nothing special, wanna go with me to Calefornia tiếp theo weekend?"
"I would tình yêu to, but i can't!"
"Why?"
"I'm gonna hang out with my brother, nothing special."
"Why can't bạn just say bạn can't?"
"Sorry, i just can't! I gotta go, see ya!"
And then he hung up. . .

I was toppled over bởi scrapbooks, ribbons, huy chương and a big canvas bag when I opened the closet door. What really caught my eye was the huge canvas sack that almost pulverized my leg. I wrenched myself out and pulled the bag over to my bed. I dug out my little sister's, Cookie's (her real name is Charlise), little plastic "Sheriff" badge and giggled. I placed it down and pulled out an unopened letter that I never have seen before. I opened and read it:
Dear Miss Courtney Langerak,
Thank bạn for help saving our ranch from MorcuCorp! We really appreciate your concern for all of the ngựa and the ranch. bạn are welcome to come here anytime!

I ran my fingers over the printed words, especially Duncan's. There was a picture in the envelope of me and Duncan. I now remember how we helped Carousel Ranch like it was yesterday...
