Ashley's Story. Ashley's POV:
My entire life. Same story. Taking cover for my stupid brother! After school that ngày with him talking NON-STOP that 'Guess what! Princess is here!' It gets on my NERVES! Sometimes I wish our parents gave a crap that way he could talk to them about this.

I opened to the first mark in the book.

I heard my phone text ring go off, a punk rock version of Justin Bieber's 'One Time' (look it up on Youtube IT'S AMAZING!) and I picked it up, it was one of my friends, Mimsy, saying that her and one of her Những người bạn were coming over.
I went over to Duncan's room, he was laying on his bed, probably thinking about Courtney. I said, "Duncan, two of my Những người bạn 're comin' over, do us a favor, don't talk to me."
He said, "Whatever, Ash."
I walked down the hall then yelled, "DO NOT CALL ME ASH! bạn KNOW I HATE IT!"
I never grew up with parents. They were always gone, so I never asked them for Lời khuyên on boys hoặc anything, I'd always ask Duncan, he was just there. And I liked being teh older sister, it made me feel empowered.
I heard the doorbell ring and I ran straight to the door, "COMING!!!" I said.
I opened the door to see my three best girl friends. Daniel, Kayla, and Mimsy.
Daniel was always a little off, she never told anyone why she was, she just was! She transferred to my new school without me knowing. She has long black hair that covers her left eye. She has skinny black jeans with a green long sleeve áo sơ mi and two piercings, one in her nose and on her lip.
She reminded me thêm of what Duncan's sister should be. Not some prep that has to care for her five-minute-younger-brother.
Mimsy's mom died when she was only six and she lives with her dad with her multitude of siblings. She has Aspergers and LOVES symbols, her room is FILLED with them. I always loved her loving of the symbols. And she like, hates my brother. She always has her hair in a ponytail, so that her blonde hair 'flows the right way'. She most often wears a red and burgundy sweat áo khoác and blue jean shorts, along with gray and blue sneakers. She likes a guy at my old school named Noah, I always wanted them to get together.
Kayla was good Những người bạn with Courtney. Like really REALLY good friends. She has REALLY dark brown hair and wears it in cute pig-tails! Me and the rest of the gang always thought she was a teeny bit crazy.
We went to my room and talked for a while, as usual Daniel didn't say much, and always seemed distant. I finalle cracked, "Hey! Earth to Daniel!"
She turned her head, "Sorry, a lot on my mind."
I gave up when my brother walked into my room. Shirtless. He always did that.
Mimsy barely stifled a laugh and she got really stiff. The rest of the night went smoothly, other than me wondering over and over what was going through Daniel's head.

But, That was before he left. He left without any say at all. It's like, he dissapeared from the face of the Earth. All he has left me with was the skull.

And, Its his fault. I'm in this Mental help facility. Ever since he left, My mom worried about me. I had been waking up screaming, Adrenaline rushes gone hay-wire. I still feel like he's with me. But, In like a wierd way.
"He's gone, Courtney." Everyone kept telling me that. But, I knew I was right! He was out there somewhere. I just hoped, He hadn't forgotten me.

I walk into a motel, its like 4:30 am and im so tired. I see that the man at the front bàn is asleep to i grab a room key and i walk to room 2. And i step into the room.
Wow, much better than my own room. I take off my áo sơ mi and my pants and jump into my bed. I turn on family guy. About half way through the episode i fall asleep. I dream, about, Courtney.
In my dream, at first, its all just a blur. But then i see myslef on hàng đầu, đầu trang of courtney and me and her are having... ugh, wow... i cant belive i dreamed that. But its strange to see myslef clinged to a cái gối, gối when i woke up... wow. I yawn and go back to sleep.
