It's gotta be Gohan. He actually didn't have much participation in the first half of the saga if you compare it to all the other sagas, but all his scenes from the moment he stepped inside the RoSaT to the end of the saga were priceless for me. And of course his fight with Cell is easily among the most epic moments in all the series.

Special mention to Future Trunks, I wont be surprised if many people vote for him, he's one of my favorite overall characters in dbz and he was only around for one season. He was that much of a badass.
