Is it normal for a dog to do this?

On June 30th Bella had chó con and the dad of the chó con Beast has been trying to get on hàng đầu, đầu trang of her ever since, but she can't get pregnant for a while so we keep him away from her. Last night, he tried to get on hàng đầu, đầu trang of one of the puppies. Basically yeah, he tried to have sex with his own kid. Now, my dad đã đưa ý kiến if I wanted to keep one of the puppies, I'd have to get rid of Beast. I'm seriously considering it now because of what he did. I've become attached to them so I have to protect them and that was just beyond wrong.
Ok so 1~is it normal for chó to do that?
and 2~should I get rid of him and keep a puppy?

chó Các Câu Trả Lời

While some chó are less hoặc thêm likely to do it than others, I believe this is a common habit amongst chó to hump their own chó con hoặc other strange 'partners'-they have been known to do this with stuffed animals, siblings and even people...I am not 100% sure as to why they do this, but I believe it is a habit stemmed from curiosity, with some chó being thêm prone to it than others depending on how randy they are bởi nature XD As a matter of interest, is Beast an older dog bởi any chance? I heard that senior chó are also thêm likely to do it, though it is often simply a hiển thị of dominance rather than anything else. Also if he is only 'mounting' and not anything...else, this is a common play gesture among some chó (although bearing in mind the pups are much smaller this is not such a good thing).

As for what bạn should do with him...well, neutering him will reduce the problem (although neutered chó may also perform this behaviour). Other than that, try removing him whenever he does it and say 'no' firmly, before distracting him with something else. In the wild, a female wild dog hoặc chó sói, sói will drive her partner away as soon as her pups are born, as unlike the mother the male dog rarely feels any attachment towards the pups when first born, and so are thêm prone to unacceptable behaviour; perhaps bạn could keep Beast away from the chó con until they are bigger? bởi which time, he might perhaps have gotten used to the chó con and not be so inclined to...you know, and if they are bigger they may be able to stand up for themselves a bit more.

Actually, father/daughter hoặc mother/son matings often turn out fine. It really depends on the chó involved, if they are carriers for any genetic diseases hoặc not.
Inbreeding can be useful in breeding for specific traits, actually, so it's not always a bad thing. (However a breeder should have a pretty good understanding of genetics so that they know what they're doing before inbreeding.)
