I don't know, She could be a human from the future hoặc be like The Doctor who is an alien that looks human, your guess is good as mine, she could well be an unsolvable mystery like The Doctor's real name and he's not talking.

I think she's most likely human, but has had a lot of contact with aliens, that's why she's a bit weird. But really, I have no idea.

One of the episodes might hint that River is human. Remember when they went to the planet of the weeping angels. She was a prisoner at that time. Her captive were soldiers from a group that had evolved from the church. (on Earth) Maybe since she was in a human prison, we could assume she is human? hoặc maybe not. Me, I am thinking she was a future companion of the Doctor and he accidently turns her alien somehow like something goes wrong.
