Did any of the Doctors ever went back in time & visited Gallifrey...?

The answer is no, sadly. Only because Gallifrey and the entire ngôi sao system is in a timelock: whatever is locked inside still continues on, but nothing can leave hoặc enter at any point along the timeline of history. Thus, he can never, ever go back home.

As of yet the Doctor has not traveled back in time to Gallifrey. We are told in several of the new episodes that the Time War is a closed event. Only freak accidents allowed Davros and Daleks to escape it.
I disaggree that the Doctor lấy trộm, đánh cắp the Tardis at the event of the Time War. In the original series the Time Lords were aware of the Doctor's where abouts. Patrick Troughton was put on trial in War Games. The Time Lords removed the knowledge from John Pertwee's Doctor on how to fly the tardis. Tom Baker, Peter Davidson and Collin Baker were all summoned to Gallifrey.
The Time Lords were very carefull not to let regenerations vượt qua, cross except in extreme emergencies:The Three Doctors & The Five Doctors. The only exception to this rule appears in the Two Doctors with Troughton and Davidson. In Fathers Day, we see the danger of the same incarnation meeting himself.
The writers can turn the plot wichever way they want. But one would wonder, traveling in the past,(pre time war)why the Doctor does not run into other Time Lords hoặc beings who know of them as still being alive?
