Ch. 13—Garbage Cans and Ham Sandwiches
The car ride with Cruella De Vil was a hard one for the five chó con to deal with.
Patch instantly told Scamp and Angel, “Cruella is dangerous. She’s a real… …. .”
“Wow, you’re allowed to say words like that?” Scamp asked, impressed. “My family would never allow that. It’s so cool to be able to say things like that without punishment.”
“We weren’t, trust me,” Patch explained. “My parents are strict on rules."
Lucky meanwhile, dourly stated, “We’re not going to have fun. She has these two mean blokes, Horace and Jasper. They’re mean and they don’t let us watch TV.”
“What’s that?” Scamp asked, amazed.
“It’s this box where bạn see things on,” Penny stated.
“Wow, it sounds amazing!” Angel stated happily.
“It must not have reached your family yet,” Lucky yawned. “We’ve had it for our whole life.”
“Well, our family is boring,” Scamp stated. “Why would they have something cool in the first place?”
But while he asked that, the car halted. The Dalmatian chó con froze up, horrified. Scamp and Angel looked curiously at the front. Then the car door opened. With her, long gloved finger, Cruella smiled at them with her bony face. “Now, now, now, it’s time to come out,” she stated happily. “Come puppies, come puppies… Mommy Cruella will treat bạn all right… come on…”
Waggling her finger at them as her heavy, odorous green smoke came wafting out of her mouth, the Dalmatian chó con fled to the corner as far away as possible.
“Phew!” Scamp stated. “She reeks… she smells better though than that stupid flowery smell my sisters like,” Scamp stated.
Cruella grabbed Scamp and Angel harshly bởi their necks, but the Dalmatian chó con were still not within reach. Looking in the car, she noticed them tightly packed into the corner, she stated, “You can’t get away from me this time… just go on and get out! Scotland Yard is here no longer, a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!”
Cruella got onto the passengers seats, continuing to clutch onto Scamp and Angel, and groped in the back for the Dalmatians. They tried in vain to escape, but Cruella’s hand caught up to them quickly.
“Good, good, very good…” she stated. “Now, up to my place.”
With that, Cruella got out of the car, and walked right up to a mansion. “I bought this place,” Cruella stated proudly. “It’s mine… and it should be just right for your transformation into beautiful furry coats.”
Cruella opened the door, and there was a large, old, dusty, battered mansion. Cruella walked straight through the entrance hall and arrived in a rickety old living room with a lot of bướm, bướm đêm eaten furniture. Sitting on the sofas in the furniture, were a slender, tall man and a short, squat man. The tall man had a glass of wine and eating a ham sandwich, and the short one was only eating a sandwich.
“Oh no!” Penny gasped. “It’s…”
“Jasper! Horace!” Cruella squealed in her sharp, cold voice. At once, Horace and Jasper turned in their seats.
“Oh, what is it, Miss?” Horace asked.
“I told bạn I would do it!” Cruella cackled loudly. “The chó con are here, just like I said!”
“Blimey!” Jasper stated. “I can recognize this one all right,” he indicated toward Patch, who growled menacingly.
“And that’s the one that blocked the TV!” Horace stated, indicating Lucky.
“But what’s with these two, eh?” Jasper asked, looking confusedly at Scamp and Angel. “They don’t have spots… what are we supposed to do with…”
“Oh…I don’t care at all!” Cruella stated impatiently. “They don’t have spots, they’re worthless! But the point is, we got three of them… and why, they’d make a lovely furry coat, a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!”
“When are we supposed to do it?” Horace asked.
“Tonight!” Cruella stated insistently, throwing the chó con onto the đi văng as she lifted her arms up in excitement. “The job must be done tonight.”
“But how are we going to do it?” Horace asked.
Cruella shrieked, “I already told bạn last time… kill the little beasts in any way bạn like. But don’t mess up… do bạn understand! I’ve been stalking these chó con forever because I need my lông, lông thú coat!!! I order bạn to spike the chow tonight! Do bạn understand!!!”
With that, Cruella left the room, slammed the door, and she was wafting her green cigarette as she left, triumphantly cooing, “Oh, it’ll come, and when it does, why, this will be such a lovely lông, lông thú coat.”
“We’re in trouble now,” Penny stated worriedly. “I don’t know how we’re going to get out… we can’t.”
“No, we can,” Angel whispered to the others.
“But how?” Lucky asked. “None of us knows how to get out… we got help last time.”
“You seem to be forgetting,” Angel stated proudly. “That I was an ex-street dog.”
“So… what do bạn mean?” Patch asked.
“I can get us out of here,” Angel stated. “And Tenderfoot has, I believe, enough experience to help too,”
“Sure!” Scamp stated excitedly. “I’ll go distract Horace and Jasper while bạn do bạn work.”
“Do we have to leave?” Lucky asked. “I want to watch television.”
“We can see ti vi later,” Patch stated. “But I want to distract those ……s with him,” he indicated to Scamp.
“Right,” Angel stated. “And I will open that door.”
Patch and Scamp crawled over to the television, where Lucky was captivatedly looking at, and started to bark.
“Jasper?” Horace asked. “How come they’re barking?”
“Aw, shut up!” Jasper stated. “We’re trying to watch What’s My Crime!”
Scamp then proceeded to jump onto the đi văng and started to tug on Jasper’s sandwich.
“Oy! bạn nasty little runt! Leave my thực phẩm alone!” Jasper shouted.
“You be quiet, you’re no better than those puppies!” Horace responded.
Meanwhile, Angel knocked over a garbage can, jumped upon it, and flicked the door open easily as Penny watched her with fascination. Incredibly, she hardly made a sound as she did her job.
“How did bạn do that?” Penny asked as Angel just smiled and winked at her. Lucky, however, was oblivious to the escape route and still watching television, and when Patch saw that Angel opened the door, he hurried over to Lucky and stated, “She did it…”
“Oh, darn!” Lucky complained. “Do I have to go?” Lucky pouted. “I want to watch television.”
“Yes, and hurry!” Patch whispered. With that, the five chó con have made it out of the door, without Horace and Jasper knowing; they were still watching TV.
“Hee-hee-hee-hee!” Scamp stated triumphantly. “We did it!”
“Yes, it was easy work,” Angel stated smugly. However, as they were congratulating themselves on their escape, they were blocked off bởi some green smoke and a long, yellow, furry coat.
“Tried to leave already?” Cruella asked, smiling tantalizingly. “I was just getting my furry coat. I’m afraid bạn can’t leave yet… you’ll have to pay a price that will be your bodies,” she stated with a devilish grin.
