I should have expected that this one would be one of the first requests. To say it upfront: Between Victor Hugo’s two “big” novels, I tend to gravitate thêm towards Les Misérables, mainly because Notre Dame de Paris is so downright depressive. Oh, both sách delve deep into the social injustices of their time and the darkness of the human soul.
