Love the shafts of light and bits of sparkle in this one!!! It's unusual for an icon to feature shafts of light. (I recall that the screencap in the film always looks so good).

Ariel is vastly underrated in the fandom for going against her own culture and saving a human's life--- not just once, but twice--- which is very much frowned upon in Atlantica society. Ariel ( by saving and helping Eric) also manages to release King Triton and all the other polyp merworld prisoners.

Meanwhile, the fandom consistently just gives chops to Mulan and Pocahontas when they save their princes and their nations.
