It was hard thinking of admirable traits for Tiana that stand out from the other princesses. I mean, she's determined, so are a lot of them. She has a specific goal, so does Ariel, although I guess you could say Tiana is the first princess with a specific goal besides romance, but Ariel didn't have that at first.

The thing about Tiana is that her hardworking attitude is admirable but that was all,the only thing that makes (to me) line up with the other princesses is the fact she had a dream and worked for it. Lottie in some cases is more the stereotypical princess we used to see from the 50's while Tiana is the realist in the movie.

But to her credit I must say that her voice (singing)and love for her father was something that was different. We never saw other Disney princess mention a deceased parent and think so much of them. The is how Tiana sticks out she is the only princess that thinks and gives reference to a deceased parent. Am I right? hope that helps
