Mal doesn't look like she would be Maleficent's daughter. She looks more like she'd be Snow White or Cinderella's daughter but with purple hair. Her features are too soft and innocent looking for her to be Maleficent's daughter. Lily looks like a real person and doesn't dress like Mal does but still looks more like she could be Maleficent's daughter. I mean, she still looks tough and dangerous while being beautiful at the same time. MUCH more convincing!

I haven't seen either, so I'm going off looks here. Anyway, Lilly has that look that scream more of Maleficent than Mal does. I like Mal's actress, but she's definitely not Maleficent's daughter.
