Snow White ___________________________

In the beginning of the Grimm's Tale Schneewittchen, Snow White's mother pricks her finger with a sewing needle and three drops of her blood fall onto the snow which lay on the ebony windowsill. Oddly enough, this made her long for a daughter of a similar color scheme. While this reflects the arc of the story: (white)innocence, (red)maturity & love, and (black)death, her name particularly represents a season when the world metaphorically sleeps only to be inevitably awakened with the coming of spring.

_______________________________ Cinderella

Omitted from the Disney version of the fairytale, Lọ lem was actually the cruel nickname được trao to her bởi her stepsisters for sitting at the dying cinders of the ngọn lửa, chữa cháy after her long days work. Cinderella's real name is never mentioned. Cinders have a number of symbolic meanings from being merely a nguồn of warmth and a hidden ngọn lửa, chữa cháy to represent rebirth in the story of the Firebird hoặc Phoenix. In myth, the creature would die in the fiery blaze of its nest only to rise again reborn from the ashes signifying a rise to glory from the lowest of places.

Aurora ________________________________

Latin for "light" hoặc "dawn", Aurora is her royal name được trao bởi her parents. It may be stated in the film that this was "because she filled their lives with sunshine" but its also fitting for this princess since dawn is the time when the sleeping world awakes. It's no accident that she falls asleep at dusk and awakes upon sunrise. Incidentally one may recall her "hair of sunshine gold" but her "lips that shame the red red rose" are thêm linked to her một giây name.

Briar Rose ________________________________

Briar Rose, a pseudonymn được trao bởi her fairy godmothers also has poetic meaning. The first word BRIAR, a mass of thorny plants obviously makes sense with the story's motif but a rose also has numerous conotations. hoa hồng have represented love, beauty, virtue, femininity, and virginity hence why it is also a symbol of the Virgin Mary. But a briar rose is a thing of beauty surrounded bởi harsh thorny bramble -- much like Aurora herself in the lâu đài surrounded bởi the forest of thorns.

__________________________________ Ariel

Ariel's name probably has the most mysterious of origins but there are two possible sources that equally make sense. Song writers Alan Menken and Howard Ashman (both of Jewish heritage) had a surprising amount of creative input in the story having named several of Ariel's sisters. This could leave reason to suspect they may have also suggested the name Ariel, Hebrew for "Lion of God". Lions are well known symbols of strength and courage.

The một giây possibility which actually ties into the first is the connection to the word 'ARIA'. Hebrew for "lioness". However in Italian it means "air" and is a musical term for a solo vocal piece with a light instrumental accompaniment. This probably makes the most sense considering music, and not lions, is the most obvious if not significant factor in Ariel's story.

Belle ________________________________

The most straight phía trước, chuyển tiếp of names, Belle is literally French for "beauty". Granted this makes sense since Belle's character is meant be physically attractive. However beauty is not just restricted to our visual sense but can encompass all the senses and even that of our spirit. Intended to contrast the physical ugliness of the beast, Belle's purpose in the story is ultimately to transform the beast's soul to match the beauty of her own. She is everything the beast must aspire to be.

________________________________ Jasmine

Most people assume hoa nhài is merely a reference to the hoa nhài hoa and to a certain degree it is. hoa nhài is actually indigenous to the Middle East. Known as "yasmine" to the natives, the hoa is so pleasantly fragrant that the name translates to "gift from God" in Arabic. In the western world it can represent sensuality, elegance, and modesty -- a particular virtue Aladdin và cây đèn thần hoặc Ali Ababwa must obtain to win the tim, trái tim of the princess.

Pocahontas _________________________

Pocahontas is unique being that she is the only Disney Princess whom we know actually existed. Historically she is known bởi three separate names. Powhattan for "little mischief", Pocahontas was actually a nickname được trao to her because of her precocious and playful nature. Her real name was Matoaka hoặc "bright stream between the hills". This can easily be linked to her affinity for rivers in the film. Her third name Rebecca, which she adopted after being baptized, is Hebrew for "to bind hoặc bring together" and this is exactly what she did for her people and the Jamestown settlers.

___________________________________ Mulan

The story of Mulan is not a fairytale but a legend potentially based on real events of a woman named Hua Mulan which literally translates to "flower wood orchid", hoặc the magnolia. Magnolias are a symbol of perseverance and nobility. The film makes reference to this in the scene when Mulan and her father sit beneath the cây mộc lan, mộc lan tree. Her father subtly parallels his daughter to a late cây mộc lan, mộc lan [mulan] blossom and how it will one ngày be the most beautiful of all.

Tiana ___________________________________

Potentially derived from the Greek word 'TIANI' meaning "princess", being a được ưa chuộng name among African-Americans it may be fitting that the first black Disney Princess was named Tiana. However this was not her first name choice. Originally her name was Maddy but was deemed too racially insensitive. This is odd since Maddy is short for Madeline derived from Magdeline. Mary Magdeline was a friend of Jesus and only disciple strong enough to witness his crucifixion and the first to witness his resurrection -- a woman who went on a long journey and acheived a great spiritual transformation.

_______________________________ Rapunzel

Also known as "rampion" hoặc "bellflower", rapunzel is an edible plant. In the Grimm's Tale, it was specifically this plant that a poor man lấy trộm, đánh cắp from a witch's garden to feed his pregnant wife. As punishment, the witch took the poor couple's daughter and raised her away in a tower without any doors hoặc stairs. This plant is not only beautiful but is also noted for its ability to grow in very inhospitable soils. Rapunzel is very much like her namesake plant in that she too flourishes in beauty, kindness and curiosity despite being locked away in a cruel world. (she will also be the first Disney Princess who's main color is purple.)

Hello everyone! Okay maybe this "favorite princess danh sách article" sounds too mainstream on this club. But as I find I rarely create any yêu thích danh sách bài viết unlike most of users here, I decide to write one.

Happy reading ^.^

Bottom 3

11. Jasmine

Aladdin is one of the interesting Disney prince, but the same thing not happen with Jasmine. Nothing special with her. During the movie I just saw her as a princess who was forced to marriage under the law. Nothing thêm than that. What I like from her is only how generous and outspoken she is. Unless for me, she is lack of development, probably because...

So, imagine if all of the princesses gather together on giáng sinh Eve and here are the lists of famous carols hoặc any songs that are giáng sinh related from famous giáng sinh films.

1. Believe (The Polar Express)

I absolutely adore this song from the film, it was originally sung bởi Josh Groban but was later covered bởi Jackie Evancho. The lyrics has a message about believing during giáng sinh especially.

2. As Long as There's giáng sinh (Beauty and the Beast: The Chuyện thần tiên ở New York Christmas)

Since this is Belle's song, the other princesses can tham gia in as the chorus hoặc they could 'echo' her words when she sings...

Welcome to the results of the countdown for Which Disney Princess Has the Best Speaking Voice. This phiếu bầu was so much fun to work on! Thanks to all the people who participated in it. I'm so sorry, but I decided to only chose three các bình luận from every phiếu bầu and try to fit any further opinions into my paragraphs. Also, I've shortened a few comments, because for some reason my mind really isn't comfortable with the longer comments. Now, without any further ado, let's look at the outcomes.

 Enchantress in disguise!
Enchantress in disguise!
Hi guys, I did a phiếu bầu earlier and a sudden realisation about the Enchantress had struck me. So, I will write an interesting theory about her!

Beauty and the Beast

We first seen her in the Prologue as an old woman, when Prince Adam spurned her. Her true nature is shown and in retaliation, she turned him into a beast and tells him that only true loves can redeem him inside, as well as the outside.

Cinderella (2015)

Upon re-watching this, I just found out that the Fairy Godmother is actually the Enchantress herself. Only this time, when she turns into her true self, she changes her appearance and that she must have been watching Ella the whole time, I suspect that she doesn't want Ella to suspect that her beloved Fairy Godmother might have cursed Prince Adam!

Do bạn Agree?

I was really surprise bởi this theory, considering that it is set in France! hoặc is it just another Disney doppelganger?
Her live action from Lọ lem
Her live action from Cinderella
 Her một giây form.
Her second form.
 Her true form with Adam.

Okay, my Korean Princess Appearance made it to the front page. Now, many of bạn are dying to see a Hispanic princess in the line-up. So, here are my personal choices on how she looks like!

1) Ly Jonaitis (Venezuela, 2nd runner-up in Miss Universe 2007)

When I first saw her in 2007, I thought that she looks pretty idealistic for a princess. Especially her appearance, unfortunately my opinion changes because she looks a bit old. Unless if Disney have 2 Hispanic princess and Ly will play the elderly sister.

2) Amelia Vega (Dominican Republic, Miss Universe 2003 winner)

She is actually my number...

Finally! My Japanese Princess Appearance make it to the front page, I strongly recommend bạn guys to check it out. So, now is a Korean princess's turn to see on how she will look like. Ironically, I also did a phiếu bầu on this too!

1. Ha Nui Lee (3rd Runner-Up, Miss Universe 2007)

She was the 3rd runner up in Miss Universe 2007 to her Japanese counterpart, Riyo Mori. She is my first choice for a Korean Princess, as she plays a Korean instrument called the Gayageum. So, she could also provide the movie some help!

5. Tale As Old As Time

Most people would probably go for "Something There," but, to be honest, this song is so beautiful. When I first watched it, I could feel the chemistry between Belle and the Beast and it literally made me so happy. The background is beautiful, the dancing is so precious, and Angela Lansbury's voice is perfect for this part. I would've cried,...

1. Coronation dress
We won't let it go that's for certain. My final Disney princess is Queen Elsa from Frozen. She may only have two outfit's in the film, but I will discuss each in detail.

1. Coronation Dress
Her dress is con le le, chim ưng, mòng két with hoa on the bottom and the bodice, a black long sleeved blouse, a long purple cape, blue gloves and a golden tiara. I feel that Anna's dress is better as it's thêm fun and prettier it's thêm colourful. However Elsa's dress reflects well on she is as a person so I do like it, but not as much as Anna's. 7/10

Hi guys, since there was a phiếu bầu about these 2 movies. It would be interesting if I were to compare both movies.

Pocahontas

Okay, many of bạn all know about her real-life story. However, in the Disney adaptation of her life. She first set eyes on John Smith, to whom she will save later on in the movie.
When I watched this film again, they remind me of both Maria & Tony due to the fact that they are of different ethnicity and difficult complications arose when both parties declare war with each other.
During the fight between John Smith & Kocuum, the scene resembles to the Rumble between...

However we are here to discuss her outfits but before we begin, there is just one Rapunzel dress I forgot to mention that is her màu hồng, hồng dress she wears with short hair il explain that quickly.

1. Rapunzel màu hồng, hồng dress
WI think short hair rapunzel wears a smarter, prettier all màu hồng, hồng dress. Like Auroras formal dress except with thêm features such as hoa on the dress and really nice Tiara to wear I feel that this is a better dress than her first dress she wears. 9/10...

We are going to a whole new world with bạn as we talk about Jasmines clothing in Aladdin. The Renaissance has shown us a wide range of different and much larger wardrobe than before and hoa nhài is no exception.

1.Blue hàng đầu, đầu trang and pants
Princess hoa nhài starts of in her palace on her own wearing a blue crop hàng đầu, đầu trang and thick blue pants with blue căn hộ vàng chuỗi hạt, chuỗi hạt cườm and large earrings. The outfit is perfect for the time and place it's set. Her hair is either ponytailed with head band hoặc fully loose. I prefer the headband and ponytails myself feels thêm Arabian.

I must begin bởi saying it's not a dress It's just a blue hàng đầu, đầu trang with a brown like vest on, brown skirt, white khăn, tạp dề with brown flat plump shoes. Like snow whites it's not an outfit bạn would go on a ngày with hoặc meet a handsome prince but for a worker then its the best for the job. 5/10

Quest for Camelot

I started watching this film back in 2007, and I was quite amazed that the song 'The Prayer' because I did not know that this song was originally from this movie! The story-line was just like our typical Disney Princess movie but overall, I feel bad for Garrett and I'm glad that the movie shows thêm sympathy for him.
The songs reminded of the Lion King where we have an antagonist having their own theme song and a song for the main character as sung...
