Most people would agree that each of the Disney Princesses are individually unique. While most people take their stories and personalities into consideration, few tend to recognize that they each have an individual artistic style. Even though over the years their lineup has homogenized to create what we might consider Classic Disney, the thiết kế of nearly each princess was in fact inspired with a specific artist hoặc art style in mind. I believe this is the je-ne-sais-quoi people have a hard time attributing to the magic of Disney. No other, if but a few, phim hoạt hình studios are so maticulous in drawing their influences from establish classical art forms when making an animated feature. So without further ado, here in chronological order are the Disney Princesses and the artists and art styles from which they were inspired.

________________________________________________________________________________

Princess: Snow White

Art Style: Arthur Rackham / Classic Fairy Tale Illustration

Being the first heroin of ANY full-length animated feature, Snow White could be considered the staunch establishment of 2d phim hoạt hình as an artform itself. However that would be ignoring the fact that Walt Disney wanted to give a look to his fairy tale that people were already familiar with.
 Arthur Rackham

Obviously Walt Disney chose this fairy tale because so many people were already familiar with it. The film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs begins and ends with the opening and closing of a book alluding to the idea that the whole of the film serves as the illustrations to the story. Therefor Disney wanted to emulate the illustations from the sách in which people had first heard the story. One of the most famous illustrators of classical children's sách was link who had supplied hình ảnh to tales of the Grimm Brothers, Hans Christian Anderson, Lewis Carol and even Shakespeare. For many, this style is still quite familiar.

 Gustaf Tenggren

To emulate this style Walt Disney hired a number of artists like link, link and link to do much of the conceptual thiết kế work. Watercolors were the medium of choice for the background to acheive the look of old illustrations. In this picture bởi Tenggren we can see the original look intended for Princess Snow White.

While early methods of cell painting effectively restricted Disney artists from giving Snow White the look originally desired, her watercolor-painted sourroundings are still highly reminiscent of the works of Arthur Rackam. Unfortunately, even with further developments in phim hoạt hình techniques, another thirteen years would pass before Disney would create Cinderlla. It would be another 9 years with Sleeping Beauty when Disney would meet his own satisfying standards in creating the 'moving illustration'.

Princess: Cinderella

Art Style: C.E. Brock / Romanticism / Mary Blair

Probably the most widely known and oldest fairy tale with literally dozens of versions from across the world, Disney and his team essentially created what is now the accepted American version of Cinderella. As he did with Snow White, Disney wanted to refer to an art style people would recognize from books.

 C.E. Brock
C.E. Brock

With all the princess fairy tales being romantic it as only expected that animators would turn to sách from the Romantic Era. Primarily occurring during the 1800's, link was a time of artistic and intellectual freedom from the strict creative guidelines of the trước đó link. Jane Austen, who wrote Pride and Prejudice is just one of many famous authors from this time period. But it were the illustrations from sách such as hers bởi link which was the focus of Disney animators. Here one can see C.E. Brock's line work, borders and water coloring similar to the illustrations in the opening book of Cinderella. Like Arthur Rackham, Brock's illustrations were widespread in sách being published during this time including those bởi Charles Dickons.

 Royal Victorian Ball

Granted, C.E. Brock's style does not continue throughout the rest of the film's background. However, the style of the Romantic era is still present within the movie via architecture, furniture and fashion. The story appears to take place in a fictional world transitioning somewhere between the link and the link (aka 1850s).

 Mary Blair

For the conceptual art Disney hired link. Walt was particularly fond of Blair's sense of color styling. Unlike the artists of Snow White who had taken are thêm unembellished approach to the style intended, Mary Blair referred to the art of the Romantic era and put her own modern twist on it. This is noticeable during Cinderella's dancing scene with Prince Charming but nowhere is her style thêm blatant than the opening credits. (notice her use of ornate curly S shapes)

Princess: Aurora

Art Style: Eyvind Earle / International Gothic

Yet the third and final Disney Princess fairy tale opening and ending with a book, Sleeping Beauty would be the last attempt Disney made at creating the 'moving illustration'.

 Limbourg Brothers

When people hear "gothic" they usually envision angsty teenagers decked out in black clothes and makeup, with faces littered with piercings. Not the case here.
link in fact refers to a specific art movement that occurred between the 12th and 16th centuries in what is now France, Germany and Italy. A prime example of such art is this illustration, hoặc illumination, bởi the link in the early 1400s where we can see not only the fashions but also the architecture of the period. This is just one of many illuminations from the link, considered to be one of the most valuable sách in the world.

 Eyvind Earl

Rather than take a literal approach to the period's design, Walt Disney hired artist link to give Sleeping Beauty a modern edge. His particular style explored the lack of proper perspectives and displayed certain hints of Art Deco, a modern arts movement from several decades prior.

The end result is what I personally regard as Disney Company's greatest masterpiece in terms of animation. What they created was a brilliant juxtaposition of old meets new with such artistic care I believe has yet to be even closely rivaled in the realm of 2d animation. Sadly, Sleeping Beauty was the last hand painted film Disney ever create and details like the golden outlines of Aurora's hair wouldn't be seen again for another 30 years in Beauty and the Beast.

Cinderella has been one of my yêu thích Disney Princesses and one of my least favorites, but despite that I've never stopped loving her

I tình yêu that she believes in her dreams and knows that someday they'll come true and that she never tells them to anyone

I tình yêu how patient she is, even though she lives a horrible life she never stops believing that her dreams will come true, this leads me to another thing I tình yêu about her, her...

13. Elsa
I feel really bad for having her in last place, honestly. It's just I find her quite plain compared to the others. I don't hate hoặc even dislike her I'm just not that interested with her and kind of feel like she could have made some better decisions.

12. Snow White
As before with Elsa, I don't dislike her I just prefer the others. The reason she's higher than Elsa is because I feel she handled her situation a lot better and has thêm personality.

11. Anna
I'm pretty neutral about Anna, she has a very sweet and bubbly personality which I sort of like, but on the other hand that...

My yêu thích Disney Princess list! This includes Anna and Elsa.

13. Elsa

She just bothers me. I think she is boring. She isn't boring in the way she doesn't do anything, cause she does. She creates a mess and becomes a diva and just... ARGH! I just find every single thing she does so completely uninteresting. I can't see why she is so loved outside fanpop. I think she should have remained the villain in the plot; I would have liked her more. I think I also would like her thêm if she didn't sing "Let It Go". In my eyes she is an introvert the whole movie and then randomly sings a song about being...

I did my yêu thích Disney Princess danh sách before, but now it's changed a LOT, so I decided to remake the list. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours. Enjoy the article! :)

13. Anna
I used to dislike her, but my opinions have changed. I actually like Anna now. Not a lot, and I still find her annoying, but I actually like her now. I still have some problems with her though. Like marrying a man bạn just met? Going into the freezing cold in a dress? She makes stupid decisions, and that also annoys me. She's still in last right now, but...

Ok, I'm pretty sure everyone knows bởi now that I'm not a huge Nữ hoàng băng giá fan! And I tình yêu ranting and having debates, so how about we do a thảo luận again? (I know that they're going on in the diễn đàn section but I'm going to do an bài viết because I don't want to differ from what they're talking about now.) this time, instead of talking about just Anna, Elsa, the parents, and the trolls, how about we talk about the positives and negatives of this movie?

How about I start with the positive section. There's got to be at least something I like about this movie, right?

The Positives

Bonjour! So basically what I am doing is a danh sách of my favourite outfits; but I am sticking to one outfit per princess. Also this only applies to the first and original movie; there are no sequels included. This bài viết also includes Elsa and Anna. This is not a countdown; I tried to do one and it was too hard. I will also be talking about some of the accessories that go with that outfit, including shoes, jewellery, gloves, hairpieces etc. (There is only one outfit that Pocahontas wears, so there can only be one favourite. However I am still including her because I can still say some things...

Pocahontas was out helping her people gather thực phẩm early one morning when Nakoma ran up to her. "You shouldn't be working since you've had those frequent dizzy spells." she advised. "If I get dizzy again, I'll take a break." Pocahontas promised. The reason behind the dizzy spells? Pocahontas was pregnant!

"So, have bạn told anyone else about the baby?" Nakoma asked. "I've told Mulan." Pocahontas answered. Nakoma was alittle surprised....

It's about time I got my đít, mông, ass into gear and write this article. I've been planning on nghề viết văn this for far to long. This bài viết is about who I think belongs in the line-up the most. Before bạn get mad and start shouting that all the princesses belong in the line-up, I ask bạn to do two things. First, remember that I KNOW THAT!!! NO NEED TO TELL ME!!! This is an opinion. Second, read the whole thing before commenting, I have my reasons why I put each princess where she is.
Now, with that all out of the way, let's start....

And I know, my danh sách changed once again. It's like it automatically shifts on its own every 5 months. But this time, I tried to be thêm objective and fair, I don't know if it's the right thing to do because I think with my tim, trái tim sometimes. But I'm pretty confident so here goes nothing!

I was thinking about the fact that Middle-Eastern and Indian royalty back in the days would have what is called a harem. Jasmine's dad as far as we know doesn't have one. If Jasmine's dad had one it would be very likely she would have had shared living quarters with her steps and half-sisters and maybe aunts.

I think if hoa nhài had grown up in a harem she would been complete different and be 1)competitive and 2)she would also be Vigilant due to the number of X times she had been poison-if on purpose hoặc bởi accident bởi the steps.

of course there's the fact Jafar could somehow 'use' her steps to get closer to her. So maybe that's one of the reasons why they didn't have a harem.

First, let’s look at the living environment of these girls. This will give context and incentive for their specific wants and needs.

PART 1: LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Snow, Cindy, and Aurora grow up isolated and have no (human) friend - they only have động vật for company.

In addition to growing up isolated, both Snow and Cindy grew up orphaned young girls and directly suffer due to a jealous older woman: the Queen dresses Snow in rags and forces her to be a scullery maid; Lady Tremaine abuses, humiliates, and forces Cindy to become a servant.

PART 2a: SNOW - I’M WISHING
