Dungeons & Những câu chuyện về rồng (or D&D for short) is a super fun bàn, để bàn roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend bạn give it a try if bạn ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my yêu thích hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning the Disney Princesses into D&D characters.

Over the last năm I've been slowly creating D&D characters based off of the DPs, and I spent so much time on them that I really wanted to share them here. I'll be posting a series of articles, one for each DP, in which I explain why I chose the classes, subclasses, etc. for each princess, and share the backstory I wrote for each. I'll also be crossposting these các bài viết to the D&D club. All the characters will be level 3 to ensure that they all have a chosen subclass. Sourcebooks used to build these characters include the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Since I expect many of bạn here don't play D&D hoặc maybe even haven't heard of it, I'll begin with the backstory I wrote since bạn might find that the most interesting. Below the backstory you'll find the thêm nitty gritty stats of the characters. Anything written in italics is an author's note explaining my reasoning behind certain character choices.

I've definitely spent far too long on this introduction so let's get going! First up we have...

Snow White

Human Cleric - Light Domain / Background - Noble

Given that we know Snow White is religious and taking in to account her caring and motherly personality, I felt she would fit best as a cleric: powerful healers who are granted divine magic bởi the deity they worship. Of the many different cleric subclasses, I chose the Light Domain because the Player's Handbook states that gods of light symbolize rebirth, renewal, and beauty, all of which are strong themes in Snow White's story. She literally comes back from the dead after all! And if that doesn't convince you, Snow White herself reminds us that "you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine". Of the many light gods, I decided she would worship Lathander, the god of birth and renewal. được trao that she was born a princess, I gave her the noble background.

Backstory

Backstories have been created with a combination of the stories from the films and rolling randomly on the ngẫu nhiên tables in the "This Is Your Life" section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is why some of these backstories have some wild things that really come out of left field lol.

I was born to Queen Enndlin and King Moritz one cold winter's morning in the lâu đài sage's laboratory. The sage had promised my parents that through his research of medicinal and arcane herbs, which he'd administered to the Queen throughout her pregnancy, that she'd be able to chịu, gấu the perfect child. Unfortunately, he did not account for the toll the herbs would take on her, and she did not survive the birth. His claims must have had some truth to them, however, for as I grew it was clear to all that I was the most perfectly beautiful girl ever to walk the land - lips red as blood, hair black as ebony, and skin white as my namesake.

My father grieved for a time but believed that the kingdom needed a Queen to rule alongside him, and so before the năm was out he was courting Lady Brunhilde. Perhaps his grief had blinded him, but once they were married, Brunhilde slowly began to reveal her true vain and power hungry nature. With the help of dark magics, she fabricated a Scandal that King Moritz was a lycanthrope and had been feeding upon his own people. With the support of the commoners, she cast him into exile and proclaimed herself the rightful ruler of the kingdom. Me, she relegated to a servant's status, and I grew up in squalid conditions as a scullery maid.

I fell into my faith as an escape, praying to Lathander to always keep a smile on my face. My positive and kindly demeanor afforded me a few close Những người bạn - seven kindly dwarfs who also worked in the castle. I also caught the eye of a young visiting prince: Prince Florian from the neighboring kingdom. I loved him deeply, and he promised he would whisk me away on his noble chiến mã, nhốt, steed someday soon.

Before he could, my stepmother discovered our affair. Ever jealous, she attempted to poison me, but Florian managed to foil her magic. Not long after that he died, mauled bởi Người sói in the forest. I have always suspected that my step-mother had a hand in it somehow.

Stricken bởi grief, I vowed that I had experience enough abuse at her hands. My dwarven Những người bạn helped me to escape the castle, and I fled beyond the outskirts of the kingdom, eventually finding myself at a small temple to Lathander, the god I'd always prayed to. It was a peaceful, humble place, filled with vegetable gardens and simple priests. Upon seeing my diligent and hard working nature, they quickly allowed me to tham gia their order. For the first time in my life, I found some measure of peace.

I still grieved for Florian, however, and one ngày the head priestess, Kungund, found me crying in the gardens. She sat with me wordlessly, a comforting hand on my shoulder, until, with a start, she picked something up out of the dirt. One of my tears had transformed into a perfect teardrop of pure silver.

The priests took this as a sign that I was a chosen of Lathander. They put me through a series of trials that revealed I could call upon his divine magic in powerful ways. Bolstered bởi this newfound power, I chose to become a cleric. Knowing the injustice and horror that exist in the world I felt moved to take a stand against them. No one deserves to live as I had in my childhood.

Kungund bestowed upon me a braid of hair from the tail of a unicorn and told me to pray over it when I needed guidance from Lathander. I wear my silver teardrop as an earring to remind me of Florian.

Though I acknowledge the power of the gods, based on my experiences I feel that most things in life are dictated bởi pure chance. I keep these feelings a secret.

Before bạn @ me, Florian's death was a chance occurrence thanks to the ngẫu nhiên tables in XGtE. But tbh I tình yêu it, gives Snow's backstory a lot thêm weight imo. This is actually one of my absolute yêu thích backstories I wrote!

Character Stats

Level 3

STR +2 (14) DEX 0 (11) CON +2 (15) INT -1 (9) WIS +3 (16) CHA +1 (13)

I used the standard array to generate stats. I tried to assign them in a way that would allow for a strong D&D character while still remaining mostly true to the attributes of the character in the film.

HP 24
AC 16 (scale mail + shield)
Initiative 0
Speed 30 ft.

Saving throws: Wis +5, Cha +3

Skills: Animal Handling +5, History +1, Insight +5, Persuasion +3 (For her class skills I chose Insight and Persuasion. Snow is very good at seeing the good in others, which I think requires some measure of insight, and she did a darn good job of persuading the dwarves to let her live with them. History was granted bởi her noble background, and then I got to choose one more. I went with Animal Handling because of course. She's VERY good with animals.

Languages: Common, Dwarvish, Halfling (Dwarvish was a no-brainer, and then idk I just felt like Snow would really like halfling culture so I gave her that too.)

Tools: Dragonchess Set

Spells

Modifier: +3
Spell attack: +5
Save DC: 13

Cantrips (at will): Guidance, Light, Mending, Sacred Flame
1st level (4 slots): Bless, Burning Hands, Command, Cure Wounds, Faerie Fire, Healing Word, Sanctuary
2nd level (2 slots): Flaming Sphere, Prayer of Healing, Scorching Ray

Outside of the damage spells automatically granted bởi her subclass, I mostly gave Snow gentle, healing spells to reflect her personality.

Actions

Crossbow, Light: +2 to hit, 1d8 piercing damage

Mace: +4 to hit, 1d6+2 bludgeoning damage

Channel Divinity: Radiance of the Dawn - As an action, bạn can use Channel Divinity and present your holy symbol to dispel any magical darkness within 30 ft. Each hostile creature (that doesn't have total cover) within 30 ft. must make a CON saving throw (DC 13) hoặc take 2d10+3 radiant damage (half damage on success).

Channel Divinity: Turn Undead - As an action, bạn present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring the undead. Each undead that can see hoặc hear bạn within 30 feet of bạn must make a WIS saving throw (DC 13). If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 một phút hoặc until it takes any damage. A turned creature must spend its turns trying to di chuyển as far away from bạn as it can, and it can’t willingly di chuyển to a không gian within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action hoặc try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

Reactions

Warding Flare: When bạn are attacked bởi a creature (that can be blinded) within 30 ft. that bạn can see, bạn can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. bạn can use this feature 3 times per long rest.

That's it for Snow White! I hope bạn enjoyed reading. If bạn have any các câu hỏi hoặc opinions I'd tình yêu to hear them in the comments! See bạn tomorrow with another princess~
I just finished watching Pocahontas 2 and I really wanted to write an bài viết about what I feel for this sequel. If bạn haven't seen the movie, don't read this article, it contains spoilers. Also, I'm very sorry for not putting images, but I don't have the time.

To begin with, I find that movie really good. Of course bạn can't compare it with Pocahontas 1, but how many sequels are actually better than the original movie? It's not only the animation/ plot/ characters that are much better, but also the feeling of nostalgia bạn get. When I really like one movie, I will definitely feel weird when...

Since I rewatched all of the DP phim chiếu rạp from the Classic Era yesterday I decided to write an bài viết about what I think of each of them aswell as the princesses from the phim chiếu rạp and a little bit about the other characters, my plan is to do this with each era as soon as I've finished watching all DP phim chiếu rạp from one of the eras (Renaissance Era will be next)

Let's start with the movies:

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs:

As most of bạn know this is my yêu thích DP Movie, but it's also my yêu thích movie of all time, I tình yêu pretty much everything about this movie, the phim hoạt hình is gorgeous, the songs...

Dear Frozen,

Thank you. Thank bạn for being pretty much the only realistic portrayal of tình yêu in mainstream media in the last- oh, I don’t know- at least five years.

Thank bạn for hiển thị that Hans, the handsome gallant prince of the Southern Isles who seemed a perfect match for Anna is fallible. Thank bạn for hiển thị that the idea of a “one perfect match” isn’t necessarily realistic. Thank bạn for hiển thị us that tình yêu is like with Kristoff, how everyone has their rough edges, how no one can fit the mold of perfection. Thank bạn for reminding us that “everyone’s a bit of a fixer-upper,...

Here's the results for the countdown I did for the best DP climaxes. tổng thể I'd say I'm pretty content with the results, and I really like the hàng đầu, đầu trang three! So yeahhhh, let's go! (ugh, why do I even try to do these intro things...)

11. Cinderella-Mice vs. Lucifer

This left the countdown with an overwhelming amount of sự bỏ phiếu and deservedly so in my opinion. People just đã đưa ý kiến that it was bland, boring, and a bit anti-climatic. People also probably weren't as attached to it since it didn't involve the princess and villain.

"It was funny. Not breath taking." -princecatcher93

"It's just a cat and some...
