I shall tell bạn the truth: I've been a bit militant in my liking of Cinderella. Negatives opinions made me feel stressed and I have been stubborn and rude. What made me change my point of view and see the wrong of my ways was when I saw link: "I think Lọ lem is both overly passive and a doormat, because it's one that leads to the other. In this way, I can sort of relate to her because I'm very passive and shy of confrontation. However, I'm not saying this makes her less of a valid hoặc interesting character. Sometimes its nice to watch a heroine who isn't all assertive and kick butt, at least for me, because I can see a bit thêm of myself in the former."

I blinked and finally understood that seeing Lọ lem as a doormat is just another form of seeing a fictional character. I shouldn't take everything so personally, and I apologize to everyone I've been rude, mean hoặc disrespectful to, especially MacytheStrange. I'm sorry, Maisie, and I hope bạn can forgive me.

But I would like to dedicate a short bài viết telling bạn guys why I don't think Lọ lem is a doormat, hoặc someone who can't say "no" hoặc the sort. This is just my way of seeing things, my interpretation of the character and bạn are not obliged to agree with it. I just want to clear my thoughts on that, so I can be in peace with myself.

Why I don't think Lọ lem is a doormat:

I don't think Lọ lem could run away from home. This doesn't have to do with historical accuracy, because Disney phim chiếu rạp aren't really historically accurate. I'm basing this of excerpts from the movie where I view as implying that she couldn't run away from home. Sorry if it's hard to understand what I meant.

1) The society where Lọ lem lives seem to work on a patriarchal basis. Based on trích dẫn and actions from Lady Tremaine, the stepsisters and the King we can tell that the woman's "job", per say, is marrying and bringing up her husband's children. It doesn't seem like there is much opportunity for a single woman to find a proper job and live on her own.

2) Cinderella tells Bruno after he admits dreaming of chasing Lucifer: "So if bạn don't want to lose a warm, nice bed, you'd better get rid of those dreams." A metaphor for her own situation, perhaps? Not far-fetched to assume, since the struggles between the mice and Lucifer are metaphors for Cinderella's own struggles with the Tremaines.

3) When Lọ lem walks into Lady Tremaine's bedroom, a prison bars-like shadow is cast over her (pictured below). And what's a prison, after all? A place where bạn (supposedly) can't escape. See the comparision I'm making here?

Of course, much is left to intepretation about Cinderella's motives, and I'm just coming up with my own conclusions. bạn can think she chose to stay because she wanted to honor her father's memory bởi keeping his state in order. hoặc maybe she didn't leave because she wanted to take care of the mice and the other animals. Perhaps Lady Tremaine warned her fellow upper-class members about her, saying her stepdaughter is "just an imaginative child", quoting from the movie (I borrowed this argument from the page I already linked). hoặc maybe she was afraid of her stepmother. Lady Tremaine wouldn't let her go easily, because she doesn't have money to afford a servant, so she need Cinderella's free housekeeping services.

It's always good to leave something vague about the character, because it leads the viewer/reader to use their imagination amd fill in the blanks. In the end, the character becomes thêm relatable hoặc personal to them. Belle, for example, has her "more than I can tell", and in Sleeping Beauty we are left wondering why Aurora went back to the castle: maturity hoặc lack of backbone (I go with the first)? And Elsa is the perfect exemple: look at how many people managed to imprint their mental illnesses, depression and anxiety in her! With Lọ lem we are left wondering why she didn't leave the chateau.

Now, I think there are a lot of reasons some might dislike Cinderella: to be honest, I don't find her the most interesting princess to watch (though I don't find her the least interesting and she manages to hold my attention), and she can sound hypocritical when she reprimands Bruno and tells him to stop dreaming, among other reasons. But in the end, she is my yêu thích princess because she's the one who inspires me the most and has a wonderful personality.

Besides, I can't help but be seduced bởi her honey-like words: "No matter how your tim, trái tim is grieving, if bạn keep on believing, the dream that bạn wish will come true".

Thank bạn for reading. I hope bạn enjoyed my simple words. And remember:

I once saw an bài viết done on everyone's opinion of this and I thought it would be cool to write an bài viết of my own. There is also a countdown going on about homes and there was one about yêu thích rooms and they inspired me to write this. So here's my hàng đầu, đầu trang ten yêu thích homes.

10. The Chateau

Many years ago, before Lọ lem was born and probably when she was probably very little, the mansion was a happy place where her father and her mother entertained the elite and lived in complete bliss. Everyone usually hates this house because it's associate with Lady Tremaine and it looks awful...

PHILOSOPHY MAJOR

Probably not what you’re expecting, but I hope to hiển thị that Aurora is very suited to philosophy.

To begin with, in Aurora's bedroom - if we look closely - we will see that she has two books. Being the 14th century (a century before Gutenberg's printing press) not only would sách be very expensive and rare but literacy rates were very low - even lower considering her demographic: sixteen, female, peasant. bởi having sách at this time, education / knowledge is extremely important in the household...

A MUCH better villain, wouldn't you agree?
So many times on this site I have talked about why I think Maleficent is a bad villain and I have tried explaining once (Swanpride remembers this) but I ended up using tons of bad arguments and I didn't word it properly so now I want to try it again. If bạn have any disagreements, I would tình yêu to thảo luận about this in the các bình luận so feel free to state your opinions.

What I consider a good villian is not all about cool posing hoặc evil laughs. It's not all about how evil they seem bởi the way that they act hoặc how many people they get to fear of them. To me, it's all about the ruthlessness, the...

13. Snow White

She is cute, honestly. Yes, I do realize that she is only fourteen, and isn't supposed to look mature. I just really dislike her lips, her eye shape, and eye color. I do like her hair. I think her màu sắc have nice contrast, but I can't seem to get past the face shape and her other facial features.

Please note: I am not a Snow White hoặc Classic Era hater....

15- Merida- Sorry to say this guys.. but I find her hideous. I find no beauty in her at all. She's weird looking. Especially with the phim hoạt hình she is in. To the people who like her I'm not saying anything bad about her I'm just stating my honest opinion so please don't get offended.

14- Kida- I find absolutely nothing appealing to her. I always thought she kind of looked like a man. She also as white hair and weird eyes.. how i that beauty? Again, just my opinion no hate.

13- Rapunzel- I just think they could of done better.. I don't like the...

Well anyway let's get starting with me talking about why I tình yêu Pocahontas!

The Disney princesses are known for their voices. In some cases, it is the first quality people describe about them. I tình yêu music, and I tình yêu to sing, so this is something I really love. So here is my personal opinion on the Disney princess hát voices!

10. Ariel
Ariel’s voice isn’t that bad, if it’s your type. Which it’s not particularly mine. I prefer a deeper tone and richer timbre. But if that’s all I have to say negative about it, why is it my least favorite? One little thing: SHE SINGS THROUGH HER NOSE. Up where they stay all ngày in the sun, ready to know, get some answers,...

I've đã đưa ý kiến before that I can't make a ranked Disney Princess danh sách because I tình yêu hoặc like all the princesses to a certain extent, so it's impossible to put them in a strict 1 to 13 order. However, some have requested that I just write my thoughts on each one, so I'll do that here. I'll danh sách each princess in order from when she came out.

Snow White - I feel pretty neutral about her. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was one of the first Disney princess films I saw since I got it for giáng sinh at age three. I liked the movie, but truthfully Snow White never made an impression. She was just kind of...

 Team 1989?
Team 1989?
Hello everyone, as I did for trước đó Disney Princess reboots, here is a comparison of the 1989 animated film with its 2023 live action reboot. With that being said, let's dive in!

The Storyline

While the storyline is faithful to the 1989 animated feature, I was very happy that there are several scenes that actually filled in the plot hole. Like we get to see Prince Eric's adopted mother and their relationship between mother and son. tied
Speaking of parental relationship, Ariel's relationship with her dad remains the same, except that in the animated feature. King Triton is a very hot tempered...

7) Bejewelled Princess Dress

This dress is over-the-top! She is not the type of princess who would appreciate being decorated like a giáng sinh cây and then find that she cannot walk without feeling the heaviness of weight pulling her down. It doesn't suit her at all.

6) Makeover glittery and patterned dress

This is better than the last one but still over-the top. This time it's the vàng patterns on the skirt. There's too many patterns. The áo che thân trên, đồ lót, bodice part is more. subtle with a singular pattern on the side. I like that. But the shiny blue sleeves are distracting. Too shiny. Her headband is...

We've come to the big one. I hear Belle called a Mary Sue a lot, thêm than any other princess aside from maybe Rapunzel.

Unique traits without contacts hoặc hair dye- No. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
An odd name- No. 'Belle' isn't that odd of a name.
Looks constantly đã bình luận on- God yes. The town literally sings an entire song about it (along with how odd she is). It's literally in the tiêu đề of the movie, along with her name. 1.
Multiple characters falling for her- Yep. Beast and Gaston, plus the whole town calling her beautiful. 1.
Gets into the relationships she wants- No. Her relationship...

Hi everyone! I found this Mary Sue test someone was doing for Percy Jackson characters and really liked it. I decided it'd be fun to put Disney princesses through it, since a lot of them are accused of being Sues (though I modified the test a little, adding and removing some traits). This test is great because it isn't unnecessarily long-winded and bạn don't need to be the creator of the character to put them through it (though some of the traits do get repetitive). I had to remove some like "Naturally beautiful" and "Great hát voice" since that's pretty much a được trao for all the princesses....
