This site gives a basic run-down of the most common abortion methods by trimester.

I think there's a point for me in the middle of the second trimester where i don't think abortion's right.

Okay, it took me forever to decide on this. Personally, I think that life starts at birth, no point before. However, I think it's a little too far to have your abortion in the third trimester. I think, by the end of the second, you should know if you're pregnant and whether or not you want to keep it.

But further, I don't think my opinions are necessarily "correct". I will always think it's the woman's right to choose what she wants to do and if she wants to wait until the very end, then I believe she should be able to. I would never do that. But another person may be, and probably would be, different.

So, although the answer to this pick for me is "Abortion should be legal right up to the end of the pregnancy", I hesitate to choose that answer as it does not correctly reflect my personal opinions.

Good comment duckey. You clearly say your own opinions but respects other views. I respect you for that.

Closer to the end I think the regurlations, procedures should be strickter, but because of medical reasons, I choose this answer.

If you can not keep the baby, or if you don't want it you should put it up for adoption at least. No baby should die for any unnatural reason.

I agree with duckey and Sapp. I believe that life does not begin until birth, and a woman should be able to get an abortion at any time during the pregnancy.

I always thought abortion was just plain wrong. You are, in a way, taking the life of another person who may have wanted to live a life like anyone else would, and if the mother thought she was not responsible enough to care for offspring, she should have simply used protection or stay away from sexual activity. I do understand if it was life-threatening, but in cases excluding that, I do not see the point of a woman not letting her child be born because she decided she wasn't ready at too late. This is my strong opinion on the idea of abortion.

I would say abortion should be allowed for women who could die giving birth. If they can't afford to keep it, or they just don't want it, just put it up for adoption.

I don't support it in ANY way, it's taking someone's life one way or another. It's a cruel and inhuman action, since the baby is a living, innocent being. As I've mentioned before, if they don't want a baby they should choose adoption.

They should choose adoption?! They should not choose anything they do not feel comfortable with. You cannot make them choose adoption, you cannot make them choose anything. It's a womans choice and hers alone.

This is why I am pro-choice: my body, my choice. Someone else's body, her choice.

It's not only about the woman here, It's also about the baby. I respect their right to decide, I know that no one can make them do anything, but people have to understand, it's not only about her. There's another human being involved.
This is why I am 100% pro-life. Against the murder of a living, innocent being.

I mentioned sopmething about when life begins on the other pick and on about 10 different places on this site, so I won't go into it anymore.

But let me ask you this: what do you think of anticonception? And the morning after pill?

Anticonception and the morning after pill don't KILL babies. They prevent the woman from geting pregnant.

^^The morning after pill can alter the womb's environment to prevent a fertilised egg from attatching to the womb lining. The egg is fertilised at this point, so if you believe it's a baby from fertilisation, then yes it does. The same goes for some contraceptive pills.

I believe I read somewhere that a fetus can start to feel pain somewhere between the 20 to 24 week mark. I personally don't believe there is anything cruel about abortion until pain becomes involved. You are merely preventing something from being born. Which is just like using a condom. Do you REALLY think you're committing murder every time you use a condom? Come on.

...I just realized that this post becomes somewhat awkward if a Catholic were to read it. Uh, don't quote me on this. PLEASE.

There should be exceptions of course, like if the mother's health is in danger and whatnot.
