Sổ tay tử thần Câu Hỏi

Why is Light such a douchebag?

He has an emotional moment with l and then still forces Rem to kill him, and then kill himself. He manipulates and uses Misa constantly and his own dad doesn't matter to him. Why is he so horrible and power hungry?

Actually, despite the horrible way in which he manipulates people and the fact that he killed L, I kind of like Light in a way. He is very intelligent, and some of the ways in which he thinks do actually make sense, in a rather warped and twisted way. In the beginning he started out as a young genius who just wanted the world to be a better place, and figured that he could do so bởi killing all the bad people, which at first imagining, seems a perfectly reasonable idea. The trouble is, he has to kill innocents to carry out these plans, and I guess eventually that kind of addles his brain...I think that is what the mangaka is trying to convey, in a subtle way; everyone wishes the world could be a better place, everyone secretly has fantasies of changing all that and making a purer, thêm peaceful world, yet we are unaware of what havoc that could potentially cause in the making. Light Yagami kind of represents anyone who ever thought that way, yet also represents the darker side of those ideas and ambitions. That's what I think, anyway.

I agree with a lot of what bạn said, but I would like to point out that murder is still murder even if he was killing "bad people". It was in no way justified and because we are all human and all do bad things at some point in our lives, we have no right to "pass judgement" on others like Light was trying to do.

I know, it is still murder and is very much wrong indeed, and we have no right to 'pass judgement' at all. That is what I think the mangaka tries to convey through Yagami; he believe that simply killing all the 'bad people' will solve all the problems, yet in fact it ends up causing a load of other tricky situations.

Light has one set goal, and that goal only. He doesn't let anything else interfere his own plans, even if it meant a death of a friend, hoặc someone close to him. He genuinely thinks that he's doing the right thing (which i don't think is right that he can choose who dies, weather good hoặc bad, because everyone deserves a fair trial.). But since he's soooo set on his own idea, he's a little self-centered, and only does the good of himself. This is why he's such a douchebag. These types of characters are anti-hero's, such as Lelouch from Code Geass, and other anime characters along the same line.

Because he's crazy. Even if he were to have an emotional moment with l and still has Rem kill him, it wouldn't matter. l will still be the enemy. He manipulates Misa because he wants to win. After that thought got into his mind of being a "god," his family matters and other people's "feelings" didn't really matter to him. The reason he did just about all of those things were to win. Not saying he made a good choice, but it's the truth.
