Classic Disney Câu Hỏi

Do bạn find it annoying that people say that Walt Disney was Racist, sexist hoặc a secret nazi when in reality he was a very good man who wanted to make incredible video to entertain children and adults alike?

A number of Disney phim chiếu rạp have received controversey because they are allegedly racist hoặc sexist such as the crows from dumbo and ariel from the little mermaid. Complaints are also made because classic Disney phim chiếu rạp have drinking and smoking in them but alcohol and smoking have no proof of danger back when they were made

No, because it is true. Both things bạn just đã đưa ý kiến are true. He may have wanted to make phim chiếu rạp to make people happy and such, but he was also racist and sexist. But really, everyone was back then. In the 1920's, women where thought to be not equal to men, and neither were any race but white people, at least in America that is. So no, it doesn't bother me. Do I wish it wasn't true, yes.

Yes, I do get tired of it a lot. I don't understand why because some cartoonists made stuff that were a lot worse like WB's Coal de Black and de Sebben Dwarves. I think people were just jealous of Disney. They also didn't understand that Walt grew up in an era where black and white people didn't get along and women were not treated as equally as men. When the Civil Rights Movement and Women's Rights progressed further, people started to think differently. Same thing with smoking. Back then, it was all right to have both good and bad guys smoke but then people got obsessed of how kids started doing drugs in high school and flipped at how some people do die from them. It was not Walt's fault that he lived in a America that was completely different from ours. Thus, why should we blame him for values dissonance? Censoring them is just as bad as putting them in the first place. Children need to know that people in each generation think differently from us and Walt Disney was one of those people whose values were different from us.

Most definitely, mostly because the people who are saying it are completely ignoring (or maybe ignorant?) of what the world was like back when these phim chiếu rạp came out (in the 30's). And they fail to realize that the princesses (and other themes and such) have adapted with the times. Look at the phim chiếu rạp Rapunzel and Công chúa tóc xù -- those two girls have come a long way from the days of hoa nhài and Mulan. And those two girls had come a long way from the days of Lọ lem and Snow White.

The phim chiếu rạp reflect the times. Back when they were made, it wasn't "sexist" to have women be constantly saved bởi men. It wasn't "racist" to have Aladdin và cây đèn thần (very obviously) Western when he's surrounded bởi middle-easterners.

Yes, especially the charges that he was Nazi sympathizer, when just the opposite was true! Hitler absolutely loved Disney movies, and he wanted Disney to make some shorts for Nazi Germany, but Disney REFUSED because he was neither a Nazi nor a Nazi sympathizer.
Also, Disney was a well-known philanthropist, and did bạn know he had an adopted daughter?

Anyone who claims Walt Disney was racist/anti semite/sexist are vastly mistaken and really need to do research. Let's start with racism, yes, some of the video we see now a days are considered racist because we're becoming a lot thêm sensative, but in reality, Walt wasn't racist. Here's why, 1) these video were the very common các lượt xem of the time, and even then it was vastly toned down bởi him because he wanted to try and appeal to all audiences, even going to the extent of trying to get the NAACP to look over the script for Song of the South to change it so it was far less racist. 2) he hired people of all races, one of his lead artists was a black man who he put his faith into with a lot of the phim chiếu rạp he released. 3) He was hiring actors of those races to portray those characters instead of doing what most people did back then in which would paint a white actors face black to portray the role.

Next, Walt was Anti Semite..... HA.... HAHA, this makes me laugh, to claim he was anti semite is so ignorant and retarded that it's honestly sad. He was about as anti semite as a republican is into giving away all their money, it's completely false. He hired so many jewish people in so many roles it's insane (half the actors were jewish, and two of his closest Những người bạn were jews. bạn all may of herd of them, they're just the two greatest composers in movie history, the Sherman brothers, who Walt made sure worked on every movie with him personally because he loved their work so much). The whole reason this rumor started was because after the art strikes that happened in 41, he joined the anti communist film guild which held a lot of anti semetic people. He joined this because he was extremely paranoid and became anti communist, to the point of willingly joining an anti semtic group to do so, but he himself wasn't an anti semite and never once showed any hatred towards Hebrews.

Finally the sexist bs, no, this is just idiotic. He was one of the only business owners to hire women, and at first, yes, women were just there to do inking, but around the mid 40's, he started getting women to work in thêm creative rolls, and even stated that women were the best critics of all and were the best at doing these creative things because they can figure out things men could not.

So to all who assume these are true of him, bạn are vastly mistaken and really need to do research before opening your mouth about him, it's proven fact he was nothing but a good, wholesome man who made this country better with his creations which brought joy to the world.
