The only suggestion I have is can they see their own reflection and because they are mèo con they have not worked out yet that the cat they can see is themselves.

Mine's a năm old, and he still does that. Ask your vet.

i donno...cuz its fun...my adult cat Destiny still does it...sometimes. mostly though she just dips her paw and licks the water off.

I have fostered mèo con over the last few years. I've noticed them do that as well, actually. I think my Mom đã đưa ý kiến that it's probably a reference to their wild ancestors who dug their thực phẩm for safety, and so no other animal smells it and takes it.

It's probably the old reflex of pushing on their mother's tit to get sữa out. Maybe mèo con associate water with sữa and therefore have this old reflex. Just a thought. Adult mèo still do this when they settle in a place before sleeping. A comfort gesture.

Though we may think that mèo hate water, it's an element of play for some of them.
