Does it have to be nonfiction hoặc not? Because I've read this book called "Stuck in Neutral" bởi Terry Trueman. It's in the mind of a teenage boy, about 15-17. The boy in the book had a blood vessel burst when he was born. He Mất tích his ability to di chuyển anything; his legs, arms, head, even his mouth. And he thinks his dad wants to murder him because of how hard his life was after he was born. Suspenseful and very sad =( It's a very good book, and it's not too long.

Izzy Willy-Nilly bởi Cynthia Voight. "Izzy's life had been colorful as a pretty, được ưa chuộng cheerleader, but she has to learn how to survive after a car accident results in the amputation of her leg." I read this book back in the middle school and loved it. It's a little dated (80s) but still would certainly work for your project. Also check out "Between a Rock and A Hard Place" bởi Aron Ralston. It's a true story, and he talks about having to survive after having to cut off his arm to survive. bạn could also check out the memoir bởi Bethany Hamilton (the girl whose arm was bit off bởi the shark). That memoir is called "Soul Surfer".

It's not exactly what bạn want but Face bởi Benjamin Zephaniah is a book about a boy who was involved in an accident and his features became disfigured. It then shows bạn his life, coping with his disfigurment: e.g. bullies at school.
