Chapter 2
As soon as they arrived in Chicago, Angela and Brennan drove their rental car over to visit Mr. Schneider. They were greeted at the door bởi a rotund older man who was grinning from ear to ear upon seeing Brennan.

Brennan looked at him with a surprised look on her face and was about to correct him when Angela quickly said. “Yes, her husband is coming in later tonight along with my boyfriend. As Angela drove the car to the hotel, Brennan called Booth and asked him if he could come to Chicago. She told him which hotel they were at and she would explain everything when he gets here.
“Is Booth coming?” Angela asked.

“Yes there should be two reservations, one for Temperance Brennan and another for Jack Hodgins.”
“Yes, we have both reservations and each reservation is for a two person suite.”
“Can the rooms be on the same floor and close together?”

Angela then joined Brennan at the reunion desk. She could see that Dr. Brennan was asking about the activities planned for this weekend. The person behind the bàn was telling her that tonight will be the get reacquainted cốc-tai, cocktail party and tomorrow there were various sports activities planned with a barbeque later in the afternoon. “May I have your name?”
“Dr. Temperance Brennan.”

Brennan looked at Angela for just a moment with a quizzical look. But quickly realized that she had asked Booth to come but who was the other person coming. She turned to the young man and asked that it be changed to include three guests. He made note and gave her a danh sách of the activities planned and handed her name tag to put on.
As they went to the rooms, Angela explained that Dr. Hodgins was coming with Booth so that it would look like a couples weekend so no one would get suspicious as to why they are there.
Angela handed Brennan one of the keys and said. “Let’s get ready for the afternoon cocktails and check in with those people while we wait for Booth and Hodgy to get here. I’ll come to your room in about an hour.”
“All right, but I don’t know why we need to meet up with those people.”
“We’re just looking like we came to the reunion and nothing else. We also promised Mr. Schneider that we would meet him for cocktails.”

Everything seemed like a regular reunion, but Angela could tell that Brennan was feeling uneasy. Angela could see that Brennan was getting uncomfortable, so she introduced herself. “Hi, my name is Angela Montenegro and I work with Temperance at the Jeffersonian. “
“Is that where bạn two met?” Debbie asked.
“I was aware that bạn worked at a museum but I did not know that your girlfriend worked there as well, Temperance. That may explain why bạn have never married after all these years.” Barbara said.
“Oh look there is Mr. Schneider, the old science teacher, did bạn know that he is suspected of killing a former student. I don’t know why the police released him. They probably don’t have enough evidence yet but just wait and see what happens this weekend.” Dave interjected.
Out of the corner of her eye Angela spotted Hodgins and Booth. So she interrupted the conversation. “We have to go and met some other people but it was lovely. See bạn some other time.” As she pulled Brennan away she said. “Now I know why bạn have never come to the reunions before. We have to go met Booth and Hodgy bạn take them up to your room while I get Mr. Schneider.”
