If you don't want to stray far from the Swedish capital Stockholm and still enjoy sand and sun, visit the two popular beaches right in the city: Långholmsbadet and Smedsuddsbadet. There are public facilities for swimmers along with food and recreational areas. Can get a little crowded in the summer, but it's worth it.
