	IllusionDolls picked Not necessarily, no.: A "masterpiece" is in the eye of the beholder to me. To me, an anime that is a masterpiece is not necessarily one without flaws, but a series that still manages to just blow most others out of the water in my eyes in whatever aspect(s) about it that I find so spectacular, a series that you don't see every day and that stands out on its own above many other series-- basically, just a series that is outstanding in itself, but not necessarily perfect. The very definition of the work "masterpiece" is not "a work that one considers flawless", but "a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship". I consider a few anime series as masterpieces while I consider none as perfect. Although, given that, if I did find an anime that I felt comfortable calling "perfect", I'm sure I'd revel it as a masterpiece, so... posted hơn một năm qua. last edited hơn một năm qua

	kittyluv57 picked Not necessarily, no.: Not exactly. There has never been such a thing as an absolutely perfect anime, nor has there ever been an anime that has been executed absolutely perfectly. Then again, people tend to use the word "perfect" rather loosely. For me to consider an anime a "masterpiece" I don't focus entirely on execution. I also focus on plot, characters, and the meaning behind the anime. I look for a series that is unique, one that stands out among all the others, one that speaks to me in a way that the other don't. There are very few anime that I consider worthy of being called a masterpiece. However, there is no such thing as perfection. posted hơn một năm qua.
