This is what happened:

When Sebby's arm was cut off bởi Ashe in season 1, he temporally Mất tích his niêm phong, con dấu of the contract, allowing Claude to take Ciel's soul. When Sebby retrieves Ciel's soul from the Trancy Manor and puts him back together, Ciel looses his memories. He regains them when Sebby and Claude make a deal that Alois and Claude will be Ciel's new target if revenge, though his memories are not completely back, for Sebby makes Ciel believe a false past involving Alois and Claude.

When Claude gets jealous of Sebby, he kills Alois and puts his soul into a red ring. Then he fools Ciel into thinking that Sebby started the ngọn lửa, chữa cháy that killed his parents, forcing him to leave Sebby and become Claude's master. He makes Ciel wear the red ring to combine his and Alois' souls, but in the process of doing so, Alois takes over Ciel's body. The only bad part is now he is a demon.
