What sort of themes hoặc ideas did bạn have in mind when making certain characters?
I thought of something we could do. I'm curious to know if anyone has created characters based on any particular themes. They'd be thêm subtle, so it would be hard to pick up on them, so if anyone has any themes for characters they've used, it would be nice to hear what they are. Here are some of mine that I can remember:
My first four demigods in KnSK were all meant to be polar opposites from each other. Averis is a sociopath while Chrome is a psychopath. One is composed, deceitful, and has a facade as an average guy while the other is violent, recklessly straightforward, and is clearly insane. One sees the big picture and understands what's going on behind the scenes while the other is narrow-sighted and obsesses over the superficial things he sees before him.
Alicia is the pinnacle of martial splendor while Gwendolyn is the pinnacle of martial might. Alicia is righteous and loves people in general while Gwendolyn doesn't let herself get caught up in morals and avoid people since she can't interact with them. This is a bit of a spoiler for what I'm planning, but I have no intention of having them meet. I wanted to build it up as an interesting potential meeting, then tear down the possibility in a 'it was never meant to be' sort of way. Frankly, I'm not sure if I'd have them get along hoặc hate each other if they meet. Their values are just too different.
Mathias was created thanks to a fanart picture I saw of two characters from Touhou, involving a mirror. I basically added a lot of context to create the character, so I'm proud of how original he is. His theme is obviously mental walls, but just like the other two WMD I made, he's also a contradiction. A lot of what he does to maintain his own identity conflicts with his goals. In the same vein, Lynda is an ironic existence who's the very epitome of a contrarian. She embodies the idea of people never really understanding what they're doing, hoặc why. The freedom to pile contradictions on her makes her easy to
