Talk to a teacher or your school's guidance counselor. She may already be in therapy (my uncle died and my cousins went after his death). But, it is better to get her help than assume she is already receiving it. Let her know that you are there for her, but don't push it. As long as she knows, that is enough.

And, she more than likely will be mad at you for telling someone because she just wants to be alone, but it is better she is safe.

Are the teachers aware of her circumstances?

Talk to her, it may make her feel better to know someone's there for her.

Its a really hard emothional thing, cancer. It steals away our loved ones ven if we desperately desire them to stay... I guess it affects everyone differently. Talk with her just bbe there for her she's probably in a real dark place right now.
It may seem hard to understand I dont eeven understand but you know, tell her to hang in there or w.e be there for her. Her grades may improve as her grievance progresses

Cancer's a very traumatic thing to go through. Talk to her and be there for her. Talk to your parents and other authoritative figures. They, too, can help her.

Like plenty of others have stated the best thing for you to do is be there for her. I think that you should go to her room and just sit with her and hold her hand and play some music and if she starts crying or closing up just hold her and be her shoulder to cry on and tell her that you’re their for her and that you will always be there for her and just tell her you love her and try to repeat it as many times as possible. If things get too serious than just inform your parents or her mom or take her to see a therapist because she could very well become clinically depressed so be aware of the warning signs. I just think that the best way to help her is to just sit around in her room and hold her and play a mixture or sad and inspirational music or take her to a support clinic where people her age lose young ones with cancer{ you could ask your parents or teachers or guidance counselors for their perspective and information}. Just start by holding her hand and , if you can, put on I Wanna Hold Your Hand by the Beatles or Glee‘s version {It’s an incredible song}.

I think what all these people have said above me is good advice so I hope you listen to them and help your friend out.It really shows how great you are as a friend when instead of going the easy way out which is either pretending your friend is not going through the grief or assuming she's getting help elsewhere even though there's no proof that she is......you care enough about her to want to help her through one of the hardest struggles in her life.I can only wish you nothing but luck and I really hope she gets the help and comfort and support she needs.
