The sun shone over the window as Rosie got up to prepare for her first class. She felt refreshed after yesterday's long trip. "I wonder if there are any nearby cafes hoặc restaurants where I can eat breakfast. Maybe I can ask the housekeeper." She thought to herself as she walked through the hallway. She did see one and said, "Good morning, Madame. I just would like to ask if there are any cafes hoặc restaurants within this area." The housekeeper replied, "Why, yes. There's one just a few steps away from here." "All right, thank you." Rosie told her as she continued walking. "No problem." The housekeeper called back. Rosie reached the cafe and ordered sausage with eggs and táo, apple juice. While she munched on her food, she studied the trường đại học map which was được trao to her yesterday. Her classroom is located in Building C, which is a fifteen một phút walk from the dormitory building. She remarked, "This shouldn't be very hard to find." And sure enough, she was right. Almost all of the students have arrived and the class was just about to start when she got there and took her seat. The teacher then introduced herself as Samantha. The first half of the class was mainly an introduction to music. Just then, another student came in. It turns out to be a boy who is about Rosie's age. His haircut was a mop-top, he had coffee-brown eyes, and a thick accent. "I am very sorry for being late. My alarm clock didn't ring right away." He đã đưa ý kiến to the teacher. "Oh, that's okay." The teacher replied. The boy then proceeded to take the last seat, which is close to Rosie. She looked at him and thought, "This guy looks awfully familiar." The boy looked at her back and smiled. "It seems that he wants to be Những người bạn with me." She đã đưa ý kiến in the back of her head. Soon, it was time for lunch break. The students headed straight for the cafeteria downstairs. Rosie was able to get a bàn all to herself. To her surprise, however, the boy sat down with her again! "Hello there, I'm Nicholas. What's your name?" He asked her. She replied, "My name is Rosie. I like your accent, bởi the way." Nicholas said, "Thank bạn veddy much. I'm from Liverpool." "Like the Beatles?!" "Yes, like the Beatles." Rosie couldn't believe it. She found another Beatles người hâm mộ who is studying the same course with her. She knew that they would get along really well and be close friends. Nicholas then asked, "So, do bạn live here hoặc are bạn from another country?" Rosie replied, "I'm from the Philippines. I came here to study music." "That's great." Remarked Nicholas. After lunch was over, the two continued conversing with each other as they walked back to the classroom. The một giây half of the class focused on the history and basics of music, which included the Beatles in the timeline. Rosie and Nicholas enjoyed the rest of the ngày and decided to walk back together to the dormitory building after the class was over. "It was nice meeting and talking with you, Nicholas. I know we will see each other again tomorrow." She told him as she went back inside her dorm. Nicholas smiled and replied, "You too, Rosie. See bạn in the tiếp theo morning. Sleep well." He even blew her a kiss. "Aw! He's such a sweet fellow." Rosie thought. Before she went to sleep, she opened her laptop to tell her parents about her new friend and how she had an enjoyable class. Her parents were very glad to hear the news and hoped that they could chat with Nicholas soon. Rosie went to giường feeling happier than she had ever been before.
It is now is the last ngày for exploring, and we wanted to make the most of today before packing our things. My father got intrigued bởi a thuyền ride around the lake, so he asked us if we would like to try one. We got excited and accepted his offer right away. Our starting point for the thuyền ride is at the tourist center in Montreux, where we bought the tickets. The ride was very relaxing and fun with the calm, crystal blue waters and snow-capped Alps. We stopped at the Vevey pier near the town square. After dropping off, we explored the area, ate lunch, and bought plenty of souvenirs. As the ngày drew to a close, we took some last một phút photos. We rested for a few phút before packing up. I sighed and đã đưa ý kiến to myself, "I'm going to miss this beautiful place so much. But I know we will visit here again soon."
After my parents had finished their conversation with Dave, they told me that we will be having a ngày out with his family tomorrow. I got so excited that I almost couldn't sleep. The tiếp theo day, we met his wife, Sophie, and their two daughters in the lobby. They were very happy to meet us. We then rode the bus going to Vevey, as the family planned to visit the Alimentarium thực phẩm Museum. They have visited Chillon Castle, too. Although we've already been there, we decided to accompany them. It soon turns out that our một giây visit was thêm fun because we had thêm companions, and we also had a conversation in the cafe while eating some ice cream. When the museum closed, we took a stroll along the lakeside, taking lots of các bức ảnh and videos. It was a really enjoyable family ngày out and we had a magnificent time together.
The last museum for our tour is the Historical Museum of Vevey. This museum showcases the history of the city and its surrounding areas. It also has a mission to preserve its cultural heritage. The exhibits here feature Vaud and Swiss furniture, handicrafts, old weapons, medal collections, manuscripts, engravings and paintings of minor Swiss masters. There is also a room showcasing a local event known as "The Feast of the Brotherhood of Winegrowers", which takes place about every twenty years and whose purpose is to protect the interest of vineyards and vine growers. All in all, it was a very interesting museum and we enjoyed it.
The tiếp theo museum we went to was the Swiss Camera Museum, which is located in Vevey, too. In this museum, there are exhibits showcasing the history of nhiếp ảnh and film. It even displays some vintage cameras. We also watched a hilarious short film in the theater before leaving. In the following day, we visited the Swiss Museum of Games. This museum is just a short walk away from our hotel, and what makes it unique is that it's housed in a castle. Inside the museum were exhibits of classic games, from marbles to chess, as well as retro and modern video games. Our visits to both museums were splendid and we had a very lovely time.
Today is the start of our museum tour. We went out a little earlier than usual so we could have thêm time. The first museum that we visited was the Alimentarium thực phẩm Museum in Vevey. Before going there, we decided to check out the Nestle headquarters and shop. Afterwards, we started our walk to the museum. It was a little far, though. But we didn't mind as we also wanted to walk bởi the lakeside. When we reached the museum vicinity, we posed for pictures with the Charlie Chaplin statue and a suspended giant fork. The museum itself showcases the history of thực phẩm and there are lots of interactive exhibits. There is also a cafe in the ground floor. An audio guide is recommended to make the most of your visit, so I got one for free at the ticket booth. In the end, it was another educational and enjoyable experience for us.
The first historical place that we visited is the Chillon Castle, hoặc the "Château de Chillon", as it is locally called. I was excited for this, as I will be going inside a lâu đài for the very first time. I've always been fascinated bởi them. My father also took a break from his work so he can visit the lâu đài with us. We got a discount for our tickets after hiển thị our visitor card. The lâu đài was built on a small rocky island in the lake. We explored the dungeon, the dining room, the armory, and the courtyard. There is even an ancient bathroom where the toilets are simply large holes! Overall, it was a fun and educational experience and we enjoyed our visit there. Before going back to the hotel, we ate a hearty bữa tối, bữa ăn tối at a chinese restaurant called Beijing Town in Montreux.
