Twist & Shout was originally a song titled Shake It Up Baby, Now by an obscure group called The Top Notes in 1961. The Isleys Brothers did a cover, titling the song Twist & Shout in 1962, and it was the Isleys version that inspired The Beatles to record a cover in 1963.
